I had a wonderful overnight stay at a lovely little cottage. The interior was beautiful and it exceeded my expectations. The cottage had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

There were a few minor drawbacks. The cutlery was not thoroughly clean and there were no toiletries provided in the bathrooms.

Excellent for families with young children, plenty of space and parking. Next door's Chinese takeaway was superb. Recommended for local pub and restaurant options. Lovely host, helpful and accommodating. Spa bath was a nice touch.

The location of the cottage was perfect for us, with a Sainsbury's nearby and a cafe across the road for breakfast. The jacuzzi bath was a nice touch, and having a TV with Netflix kept the kids entertained.

The heating was a bit noisy at night, but it only woke me up and didn't disturb anyone else.

The communication from the owner was excellent, and they even left a key for us as we arrived late. The cottage itself was clean, nice, and modern, with plenty of parking available. The rooms were a good size and the jacuzzi bath was a definite highlight. The check-in process was simple and the cottage had a big TV, which was great for entertainment. The convenience of having local shops open late was a bonus, and the value for money was amazing. I would love to come back and stay for longer, as it truly felt like a home away from home.

One drawback was the traffic noise, but it didn't really disturb us. Additionally, it would have been nice to have milk and toiletries provided, although that was our own fault for not coming prepared.

the host was incredibly helpful and made our stay enjoyable. the location was perfect, within walking distance to pubs and a supermarket. the bed was comfortable, and the amenities like free wifi and Sky TV were a great bonus. the cottage itself was spacious and had two bathrooms, which was especially convenient for our family of three. it had everything we needed for a short break and we would definitely stay there again. Cons: Nothing that I didn't like. 😊.

Bernie's helpfulness despite poor signal, thorough run down on property, perfect for our needs, walking distance to central Leek, provided tea, coffee.

    Cannot find any fault.

The cottage was cozy and felt like a home away from home. The comfortable beds made for a good night's sleep and the clear instructions on the walls made it easy to find everything we needed. One of the highlights was the luxury of the Jacuzzi, which we thoroughly enjoyed. it was a nice touch to have milk in the fridge upon arrival.

The traffic noise from the main road outside, although closing the double glazed windows helped to minimize it. Another disappointment was the plastic wardrobe that was falling apart and didn't match the overall standard of the cottage.

What a fabulous cottage! The pictures were accurate, and the cottage was exactly as expected. The layout of the rooms was great, with two bedrooms and bathrooms, and all the necessary amenities. The hydromassage bathtub was a highlight, and the best I've ever experienced. The location was convenient, with Sainsbury's nearby and a cafe across the road. The host was accommodating and the staff at the Retreat were welcoming and served delicious food.

    Hard to think of anything.

I recently stayed at The Cottage At The Retreat in Leek for a short while and I had a fantastic experience. The rooms were spotless, with a lovely kitchen and a jacuzzi bath that was perfect for a relaxing soak. The bed was comfortable and the free parking was a great convenience. Despite being close to the road, the hotel was surprisingly quiet. The host was extremely helpful, even contacting me about a forgotten item of clothing. great value for money and I would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends.

    Strongly recommend this hotel.

The cottage was in a great location for exploring the lovely town. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the cottage itself was comfortable and well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed the spa bath and the excellent value breakfast. Despite a few small issues, like traffic noise and a lack of supplies in the second bedroom, I would still recommend this hotel for a short stay in the area. I had a positive experience and would consider staying here again in the future.

We also appreciated the amenities like Sky TV and Wi-Fi, keeping us entertained throughout our stay. The double bed in the cottage was clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Additionally, the breakfast basket provided with essentials like milk, bread, butter, and eggs was a nice touch.

We did encounter a couple of minor inconveniences during our stay. the heating in the cottage was on a timer, resulting in fluctuating temperatures and making it a bit uncomfortable at times.
